About

Professional rigor. Lived perspective. A bias toward possibility.

I am a psychologist, learning-and-development professional, coach, researcher, speaker, writer, and organizational problem-solver. The labels matter less than the through-line: understanding people, building capability, and helping individuals and organizations move beyond their current limits.

Why the work fits together

My education includes a PhD in General Psychology, an M.Ed. in Counseling & Human Relations, and a BA in Liberal Studies. Across education, coaching, consulting, workforce development, nonprofit leadership, research, AI evaluation, writing, and speaking, I have repeatedly done the same kind of work: diagnose what is happening, make complexity understandable, and help people build what comes next.

I live with Duchenne muscular dystrophy and use a power wheelchair and non-invasive ventilatory support. That is visible and real, but it is not the subject of every room I enter. My disability has shaped my perspective on adaptation, systems, human potential, and the difference between a perceived limit and an actual one.

After profound family loss and major life changes, I rebuilt. That experience deepened—not replaced—my professional grounding in psychology, behavior change, resilience, learning, and meaningful action.

Faith is also an important source of hope, purpose, and responsibility in my life. My professional work, however, is for people of every background and belief system.
